The change was framed as an administrative clarity measure prompted by recent open-record decisions.
During related exchanges, board members asked about wording consistency across policies (for example, replacing 'person in parental relation' with 'parent/guardian'); Satler agreed to make consistent changes before documents are posted for public review. The committee did not vote on either proposed change at the workshop.
