SolSource Power seeks chance to present battery-storage proposal; board says draft law is with attorney

During the public-comment portion of the meeting, Kaylee Firth, who identified herself as a project developer with SolSource Power, said her firm is interested in proposing a battery energy storage development in Grand Island and offered to present details to the board.
"I'm a project developer with SolSource Power... we're interested in proposing a battery energy storage development in the town of Grand Island," Firth said, and added she is available as a resource and can bring a presentation. She also said she "eat[s], sleep[s], breathe[s] batteries every day for work." The board replied that the draft local law on solar and battery installations is currently with the solar-battery attorney for final comments and that it could return for further consideration in the next couple of meetings.
No formal request for an immediate hearing or town action was submitted; Firth was invited to follow up with staff to schedule a presentation if she wishes.
