Pittsburgh SD presented a revision to Policy 901 to codify that public‑records requests must be submitted using the Pennsylvania Office of Open Records standard Right‑to‑Know request form posted on the district website. Presenter Miss Satler said the district previously asked requesters to use that standard form and will now make it an explicit policy expectation.
Under the revision, if a requester does not use the standard form, staff will promptly advise the requester and give them an opportunity to resubmit using the standard form. The board discussed that the requirement aims to streamline processing and referenced recent open‑records decisions recommending clearer district guidance.
No vote occurred during the workshop; the presenter said she had no further changes to report on this policy item at the meeting.
