Council remarks and public comment

Council also recognized Dr. Ronald Brown for 25 years of service in Everett Fire’s medical program and observed the fourth anniversary of Officer Dan Rocha’s death.
Council member Arlinego thanked utility staff for changes to utility-payment administration. Council member Weier specifically praised an addition allowing reinstatement after shut-off once past-due amounts are paid, saying it removes a large hardship for struggling customers.
What's next: Several items were third readings and final adoptions on March 25; the budget amendment (Council Bill 2603-17) was presented as a first reading and will return for a third and final reading on April 8, 2026.
