SCRTD reports NEPA completion for proposed Venus facility site; staff cites 3.2‑acre site and EV charging plans

The presentation said the site would be used for bus parking, a modest building (potentially a Butler-style structure) and electric vehicle charging to support recently acquired battery electric buses. Staff noted the site is well located for service to the Magenta line, Hatch and Las Cruces, and that there were no major environmental issues identified in the NEPA review.
District staff asked the board to note the NEPA completion as part of ongoing work to secure grants and build out the facility; the board received the report and staff said it would transmit the NEPA information to the New Mexico Department of Transportation as part of grant coordination.
