Jennifer, speaking for the Assessor's Office, said normal office functions continue while staff finish the 2025 assessment year and begin the 2026 general reassessment. She said mapping is current through February and that deed transfers are paused until the taxing software rolls to 2026.
She reported that hearings are scheduled for Wednesday, March 18 and Thursday, March 19. The office docketed 55 appeals representing 67 parcels and noted that five appeals requested reductions of more than $100,000 in assessed value; by statute, requests above that threshold require notification to taxing bodies, who have the right to intervene. Jennifer said school districts have filed intervention letters for those parcels.
Jennifer also said the GIS team (operated temporarily by Sammy) met with Eagle View account managers to receive no‑cost upgrades to their pictometry/change‑detection application, and that GIS data were provided to Motorola as part of an initial evaluation for a 911 system upgrade.
Next steps: The board of review will conclude its meetings for the 2025 appeals and staff will prioritize filling the GIS vacancy; hearings will proceed on the scheduled March dates.
