Warren County honors firefighters for lifesaving response; jail re‑entry programs earn top audit score

County officials said first responders delivered defibrillation, performed CPR and coordinated with Med Center EMS; the patient achieved return of spontaneous circulation and was released from the hospital on March 2.
At the same meeting, the court also reviewed and approved the Kentucky Department of Corrections Program Compliance Audit report for the Warren County Regional Jail. Presenters described a re‑entry services division that teaches evidence‑based programs (including GED classes, parenting, MRT, trauma treatment and substance‑use supports) and provides case management, IDs, and housing assistance. The presenter reported a record audit score of 100% for the programs observed during the February review.
The court publicly recognized re‑entry staff and offered thanks for their work connecting incarcerated people to programming designed to support successful re‑entry. No substantive debate or opposition to the audit report appeared during the recorded roll call approval.
The court’s recognition noted both the lifesaving work of emergency responders in the community and the jail’s efforts to provide evidence‑based programming that the Department of Corrections compliance reviewers observed and scored highly.
