The recommendation is contingent on subsequent approvals by the Board of Public Works and the Common Council.
Committee members discussed potential use of historic tax credits to offset construction costs and noted that competitive bidding for construction services may be required, depending on cost estimates developed during design. The committee voted to recommend Zetler Design Studio and asked staff to coordinate next steps with finance, the Board of Public Works and council.
