The Minnetonka City Council voted to accept the city's quarter-4 and end-of-year strategic plan report on Feb. 23, a staff presentation that catalogued progress across six strategic priorities and a range of performance metrics.
City staff presented the report, which said Moody's affirmed the city's AAA bond rating and that city staff submitted a $5,330,000 state bonding request for reconstruction of Fire Station No. 2. Staff described 71 action steps beneath higher-level priorities and reported 89% overall completion on tracked steps, with 74 steps marked complete in 2025. The presenter also reviewed sustainability and community-engagement metrics, including a residential per-capita water-use target of 75 gallons per person per day; the 2025 figure reported was 68.9 gallons.
Council members sought clarification on whether an ERP (enterprise resource planning) delay would affect the city's shift to priority-based budgeting. Acting city manager Miss Dauman said finance and the ERP product run on separate platforms and staff did not expect the ERP timing to derail the budgeting rollout. Councilmember Calvert encouraged residents to view the city's Community Dashboard for full action-step detail.
After discussion, Councilmember Wilburn moved to accept the report. The motion passed on a roll-call vote. Mayor Schack thanked staff for preparing the report and noted the presentation would help the council and the public track implementation progress.
