During the business office presentation, administration disclosed an estimate of $235,000 to replace auditorium curtains districtwide as part of the proposed capital project; the rigging was reported to be reusable. Board members debated whether to seek professional cleaning estimates before committing to replacement and noted that including curtain replacement in a capital project could make the work eligible for building aid, whereas a general‑fund purchase would not. No vote was taken to add curtains to the capital project at this meeting.
Administrators told the board the special‑education private placement line is projected to increase and that the superintendent’s recommended budget will be presented at the next meeting. The board set timelines for final budget adoption in April and the budget vote in May.
