County refers claims for address-change reimbursement to Human Resources

Craig Davidson of Kootenai County Community Development reported March 26 that two people have submitted claims for hard costs (for example, replacement addressing numbers) after a county address error. Davidson said those affected should submit claims through Human Resources so the county’s surety can reimburse eligible hard costs. "They can submit the claim through HR to go through our surety for the reimbursement of those hard costs like the addressing numbers and things like that," Davidson said.
Davidson said two claims have been received and he expected more ("probably seven to come"). The board was informed and no motion was taken; staff will handle referral to Human Resources and any subsequent claims processing.
The meeting adjourned at 10:18 a.m.
