Anson County Planning Board reschedules SUP 26-02 for lack of quorum, adopts findings for SUP 26-01

The chair told the public two members of the board were absent and that the ordinance requires a minimum of six members for quasi‑judicial requests. For the record the chair read a Spanish translation to explain the procedural limitation and said staff will re-notify abutting landowners by mail and advertise the hearing in the Anson Record.
Separately, the board took a formal vote to adopt findings of fact and conclusions for SUP 26-01, related to a proposed nonprofit operation by Regina Cason; a motion to approve the findings passed unanimously. Staff noted the adoption reflects the board’s prior deliberation and decision from the January hearing.
The board encouraged applicants affected by the rescheduling to watch for mailed notices and reiterated that the April 9 meeting will include the rescheduled special‑use hearing if quorum requirements are met.
