Commission approves garage-plus-ADU at North 7th with lighting and camera conditions

Staff also reported late correspondence from neighbors expressing concern about exterior lighting and security cameras. The applicant, Jeff Enoi, explained additional lighting had been installed after vehicle break-ins and agreed to ensure any new lighting and cameras are modest and directed away from neighboring properties.
Commissioners added conditions that exterior lighting be downshielded to reduce light spillage and that cameras not face neighbor yards. The motion to approve, moved by Commissioner Malloy and seconded by Commissioner Moore, passed by voice vote.
The commission also reminded applicants that materials listed in approved plans are enforceable as part of the permit and that changes to materials without city review can lead to fines or mitigation requirements.
