The Trumbull County Board of Commissioners adopted a resolution honoring Julie M. Green, director of the Trumbull County Planning Commission, on her induction into the League of Women Voters Greater Youngstown Women's Hall of Fame.
The resolution, read aloud by the board, outlines Green's more than two decades of service advancing equitable community development, administering federal and state programs including Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Investment Partnership programs, and guiding public investments to strengthen neighborhoods. The board said Green has expanded civic engagement and improved public infrastructure across Trumbull County.
Julie M. Green responded: “I want to thank you for the beautifully written resolution and acknowledgement. I really appreciate it. It really is a privilege to work in public service.” Commissioners and staff invited her to pose for a photograph with planning commission members following the remarks.
