By consensus the commission decided to keep five cross-cutting items — volunteer/city event participation, identifying guest speakers, researching best practices for adults 50+, intergenerational programming with the youth commission, and promotion/marketing for adults 50+ — and to retain the annual Senior Citizen Service Award as a standing item.
