The city attorney reported that the council met in closed session "with regard to the following items" including a conference with labor negotiators under Government Code section 54957.6 and public-employee performance evaluations under Government Code section 54957(b)(1) for the positions titled City Manager and City Attorney. The city attorney identified the city's designated agency representatives for the labor item as Andrew Murray, the city manager, and Stephanie Cifuentes, the human resources director, and listed the affected employee organizations as the Vallejo Police Officers Association, the International Association of Fire Fighters Local 1186, CAMP (Confidential Administrative Managerial Professional Association), and unrepresented employees. No formal votes or approvals were reported from the closed session.
Mayor Storrs called the meeting and asked the clerk to conduct a roll call at the outset. The clerk read attendance and noted several members absent; the council proceeded once quorum and logistics were resolved.
