Vallejo council moves to appropriate $11.5 million in Measure P funds for paving and trail maintenance

Vallejo — The City Council voted Tuesday to provide notice of intent to amend the fiscal year 2025–26 budget to appropriate $11.5 million of Measure P funds for transportation work.
The allocation approved as step one includes $11 million for a FY26–27 paving construction program, $500,000 for citywide pothole repair services and $50,000 for Bay Trail/Vine Trail maintenance. The Measure P committee had previously recommended the package to council; no public speakers registered on the item.
Councilmember Bregenzor urged the council to rely on the Measure P committee’s expertise and move the item forward. The motion carried unanimously with one member absent, as recorded in the meeting minutes.
What’s next: This vote was the first of two steps; staff will return with implementing budget language and project schedules for execution.
