Chair Soarscribe called the housing authority meeting to order at 7:21 p.m. and said the board had a single agenda item: the consent calendar. The chair opened a brief public comment period but said the board would not run the full two-minute clock unless a commenter appeared.
"I move that we approve the consent calendar and the agenda," Chair Soarscribe said, moving to adopt the consent calendar. The chair then used their discretion to close public comment, noting there were no public commenters to hear.
The clerk announced that the motion "carries unanimously," and also stated that one board member was absent for the vote. The transcript contains two different spellings for that member's name ("Paul Maris" when named during roll call and "Paul Mayer" when the clerk later noted the absence). The meeting minutes should be checked for the official spelling. No roll-call vote listing individual yes/no votes appears in the transcript.
The chair adjourned the housing authority meeting and called for a brief recess of about five minutes before the regular city council meeting began.
