Beautification Commission approves 2026 Vallejo cleanup dates, details meetup at Mare Island Way

The social media subcommittee will publish an initial, broadly distributed flyer announcing the general dates and will produce event‑specific flyers about three weeks before each cleanup, Secretary (speaker 2) said. Committee member (speaker 5) said the subcommittee plans to list a known meetup point (the marina/Yacht Masters area) and provide a link to other available sites. The group discussed volunteer sign‑in procedures and captain training; Committee member (speaker 4) explained that team captains typically receive about an hour of orientation and that volunteer tallies are submitted online and then reported to the state.
Secretary (speaker 2) recapped the motion and called for a show of hands: “The motion is to accept March 21 and November 7 as the additional dates on the calendar,” the secretary said. All present voted in favor and the secretary declared, “Motion carries.” Commissioner McGarry will edit the flyer and post it to the Rooted Vallejo calendar once site details are finalized.
