Several commissioners either nominated themselves or were nominated by colleagues, and the nominees briefly discussed the expected time commitment and responsibilities. The chair outlined that the role requires periodic back-and-forth with staff to prepare agendas and may require roughly five hours a month depending on the workload.
The commission then took a voice vote on the leadership slate. "Congratulations on our new chair and vice chair," the chair said after the vote.
The newly elected officers will assume duties at the start of the next meeting cycle; staff will update nameplates and seating assignments.
