Solano County board honors retiring behavioral-health supervisor Dr. Judith Greco Gregory

The Solano County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday formally presented a plaque honoring Dr. Judith Greco Gregory on her retirement after 16 years with the county’s Health and Social Services Behavioral Health Division.
Rob George, senior manager in the county’s Behavioral Health division, told the board he first supervised Dr. Greco Gregory in 2010 and commended her for leading access-and-managed-care teams, serving as an expert witness in LPS conservatorships and later overseeing substance-use quality-assurance and patient-rights work. “Judith, you became someone I could rely on,” George said.
Emery, director of Health and Social Services, and Jen Mullane, the division’s new director, both praised Dr. Greco Gregory’s quiet leadership and willingness to take on difficult tasks. Dr. Greco Gregory thanked colleagues and described her decision to retire as a difficult one, saying she appreciated the county’s commitment to clients and staff.
The board approved presenting the plaque by unanimous voice vote; the chair and board members rose to offer personal remarks and a photograph with the honoree.
The recognition was ceremonial and did not include a policy action. The county’s behavioral-health leaders said they will continue work on the division initiatives Dr. Greco Gregory helped lead.
