Police: Wildwood Crest responded to 1,038 calls in November; EMS reports EOP approval

Wildwood Crest’s public-safety officials reported substantial operational activity for November during the commission’s Dec. 3 meeting.
Chief Lloyd told the commission the department responded to 1,038 calls for service in November; 296 of those required more than one officer. He said the department conducted 35 investigations, handled 168 service calls that included alarms, citizen assists, fires, medical assists and utility complaints, made 111 motor-vehicle stops and issued 20 traffic summonses, performed 318 property checks, logged 326 hours of training and recorded six adult arrests.
Following the police report, OEM coordinator and EMS supervisor Billy Crips said EMS responded to 52 calls for the month, many tied to respiratory symptoms consistent with the season. Crips said the borough’s Emergency Operations Plan (EOP) has been approved by the State of New Jersey and that staff will pursue grant opportunities in 2026 to support emergency-management initiatives.
Commissioners thanked both presenters and wished staff a safe holiday season. No formal action was required beyond accepting the reports.
The reports will be filed with the borough and the public-safety department as part of the routine monthly reporting process.
