Directors asked about electric or plug‑in hybrid alternatives and staff noted downtown charging capacity is limited; they agreed to explore EV options for future vehicle cycles. The board moved and unanimously approved the amendment, with staff noting they could report back with purchase details but would not return for board approval for purchases under the approved thresholds.
