Assistant Town Attorney Lisa Waller outlined procedural requirements for the ADA appeal, noting the board must issue a written decision within 15 days after hearing the appeal and that the board could review recorded meeting video and written submissions in the packet. The appeal stems from a Planning & Zoning meeting on Oct. 28, 2025; the ADA coordinator’s decision was issued Jan. 21, 2026, with an addendum filed March 6.
Complainant Loren Taylor asked for the continuance, citing reasons she detailed in a March 11 letter. Selectperson Lauren Rabin moved to postpone the appeal for 30 days; a colleague seconded and the board recorded yes votes from the selectpersons present (Fred Camello, Lauren Rabin and Rachel Connor). Lisa Waller advised the board to obtain and distribute the complainant’s recent four‑page submission to all members for consideration.
The continuance resets the board’s 15‑day decision window: after the resumed hearing the board will have 15 days to provide a written, accessible resolution that will be retained by the town for at least three years.
