The Juban Crossing Economic Development District of Livingston Parish adopted its fiscal year 2026 operating budget after a unanimous vote by board members.
The board considered a resolution to adopt the district’s revenue and expenditure plan for 2026. A board member described the proposal as essentially unchanged from the previous year, with projected income, expenditures and debt service remaining the same. No amendments or line-item changes were raised during the discussion.
Councilman Wascom moved to adopt the resolution to approve the FY2026 operating budget; Councilwoman Sandifer seconded the motion. The vote was unanimous, with members Shavers, Taylor, Wascom, Sandifer, Mangus, Goff, Coates and Ard recorded as present and in favor. The board declared the motion passed.
During other business, board members thanked one another for their service. The Chair said the district expects to have additional announcements regarding retail projects in the near future and that staff is working on several projects; no formal actions on those projects were taken at the meeting.
The meeting adjourned after Councilwoman Sandifer moved to adjourn and Councilman Wascom seconded the motion.
