Colton board introduces new assistant principal, security supervisor and approves personnel actions

On routine business, the board approved action session items 5.1–5.36 (motion by Trustee Haro, second by Trustee Thorino Noa) and later considered item 5.2, a resolution concerning board compensation. Trustees approved item 5.2 on a motion by Trustee Ibara, seconded by Trustee Haro; the record shows the motion carried with one abstention by Trustee Sandaval.
After adjourning to closed session, the board read out two personnel items. Item 10.1 (personnel appointments) was approved on a 7–0 vote. Item 10.2 confirmed the appointment of Christine Steer Hessen as assistant principal at Smithtech Elementary on a 7–0 vote.
