Roseville Joint Union High School District curriculum staff told trustees April 8 that the district must update textbooks for AP Chemistry and AP Psychology because College Board course revisions require aligned materials.
Staff explained the district is beyond the 10‑year minimum for those titles and presented vendor materials selected by AP department teachers for pilot and review. The board opened the materials for a 30‑day public review period and invited questions; the item was informational and will return for formal adoption after the review period and any required site‑level approvals.
The staff presentation noted the materials were vetted by AP department teams, site councils and the district curriculum leadership team. Trustees did not take action on the adoption at this meeting; adoption requires subsequent action following the public review and any required alignment checks.
