Board names three administrators to district leadership team
Summary
After closed session the board announced unanimous votes to appoint Stephanie Lee as principal of Washington Elementary, Sal Robas as assistant principal at Rodondo Union High School, and Todd Overton as a second special education program specialist.
The Redondo Beach Unified School District board announced on June 17 that, in closed session, trustees voted unanimously (5–0) to appoint three administrators to the district leadership team.
The appointments announced in open session are:
• Stephanie Lee, appointed principal of Washington Elementary School, effective July 1. The board noted she has served as assistant principal at Washington and previously held leadership roles in the Alliance Charter School Network.
• Sal Robas, appointed assistant principal at Rodondo Union High School; staff cited his background in special education and prior assistant principal roles.
• Todd Overton, appointed as a second special education program specialist, joining the district from Monrovia where he held a similar role.
Trustees applauded the appointments in the open‑session announcement. The board recorded the closed‑session action and said it had received information on other closed‑session items.
