The Redondo Beach Unified School District board on June 17 adopted the 2025–26 fiscal year budget and later re‑approved it after the board approved the district’s Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP).
Staff presented the budget as containing $9.57 million in designated commitments for declining‑enrollment mitigation, cash‑flow management, fleet replacement and instructional programs. Staff told trustees that once approved the budget will be submitted to the Los Angeles County Office of Education by the statutory June 30 deadline.
Board member Elder asked the board to re‑open item 12.1 because the LCAP must be approved prior to final budget adoption; the board reopened item 12.1 and reapproved the budget later in the meeting.
During the vote no detailed roll call tallies were read aloud in the public portion of the meeting; the chair recorded the motions as passed on the record.
