Highlands council adopts hospital-opposition resolution and routine consent agenda

At its Dec. 3 meeting the Borough of Highlands council adopted several resolutions and the consent agenda. The council unanimously adopted Resolution R25209 opposing the closure or relocation of Mammoth Medical Center Hospital in Long Branch. The council also adopted R25210 on the recommendation of the CFO to transfer surplus funds across accounts as part of routine year-end budgeting adjustments.
The council then approved consent-agenda resolutions R25211 through R25216, which included a waiver of the alcohol ban for a community-center rental, authorization to refund tax overpayments, renewal of membership in the Mammoth Municipal Joint Insurance Fund, reimbursement for solid-waste services to a condominium association, an award of a contract to 4Runner for a software platform, and authorization for payment of bills. Each item was approved by recorded vote.
