Las Vegas Civil Service Board approves minutes and multiple personnel eligible lists

The Las Vegas Board of Civil Service Trustees on March 11, 2026, approved the minutes of its Feb. 25 meeting and took a series of routine personnel actions, including certifying, extending and abolishing eligible lists for multiple city job classifications.

City Clerk LuAndy Holmes called the roll and confirmed that Vice Chair Panichelli, Member Brown, Member Hash and Member Stamper were present and that Member Jimenez was excused. Holmes also confirmed the meeting was in compliance with the state Open Meeting Law.

Member Hash moved to approve the minutes of the Feb. 25, 2026, regular meeting; the motion was adopted by voice vote. The board then considered Item 5 and certified eligible lists for the following positions: Fire Communication Specialist (open), Park Maintenance Field Supervisor (open), Parks and Recreation Equipment Operator (one open), Senior Human Resources Technician (promotional), Senior Mechanic (open) and Senior Technical Systems Analyst (open). Member Hash moved to approve Item 5 as read; the motion carried by voice vote.

Under Item 6, the board approved extensions of eligible lists for Buyer (open), Grant Coordinator (open), Hydrant Technician (open), Materials Management Supervisor (open) and Senior License Officer (open). Member Hash moved to approve the extensions as read; the board approved the motion by voice vote.

Item 7 authorized the abolishment of the eligible list for Project Engineer. Member Hash moved to abolish that list; the motion was approved by voice vote.

There were no speakers during the citizen participation portion of the agenda. With no further business, the board adjourned.

The actions taken maintain the city’s hiring and promotional processes for the listed job classifications; no contested items or public objections were recorded at the meeting.
