Oktibbeha County approves $85 million claims docket and a string of routine items, including utility permits and grant actions

County Administrator Wayne Carpenter presented and the Board approved the purchase of a 2026 Ram 2500 ($42,699.00) and a heavy-duty dump trailer ($13,625.00) to support an expanded inmate litter patrol; purchases will be funded from Fund 105 reserves. The Board also authorized the Sheriff's Department to apply for the 2027 TRIAD/RUOK grant ($1,500) and approved Chancery Clerk publications related to homestead deadlines and tax payment options.
All consent and administrative approvals passed unanimously on motions led by Supervisor Pattie Little and others.
