The House Management Committee approved a run of ceremonial and housekeeping resolutions recognizing local athletes, arts groups and small businesses and correcting a previously omitted name.
Jeremy Wooldridge, state representative for District 1, opened the meeting with House Resolution 10 38 ‘to recognize April as Child Abuse Prevention Month’ and asked members for “a good vote.” The committee moved the resolution and approved it by voice vote.
Other resolutions approved without substantive debate included recognitions for the Mountain Home Bombers’ 2025 boys and girls cross‑country championships (HR 1040 and HR 1041), the Mount Saint Mary Academy Bells golf team (HR 1044), Central Arkansas Christian High School Choir’s achievements at the 2026 State Choral Festival (HR 1045), a local candy shop honored by Representative Brad Hall (HR 1049), and athletic recognitions for Joe T. Robinson (HR 1050 and HR 1051). Representative James Eaton presented resolutions honoring Coach Dave Wilbers and Arkansas Tech University cross‑country successes (HR 1047 and HR 1048). A scheduling request from Representative Robin Lundstrom removed one item from the agenda and a housekeeping correction from Representative Richmond added a missing name to an earlier resolution (HR 1042).
Most presenters asked the committee for a favorable voice vote; the chair put several items to the committee with the form “all in favor say aye,” and each was adopted by voice vote. No formal roll‑call tallies were recorded in the transcript.
The meeting recessed briefly and then reconvened to continue the agenda.
