Representative Tracy Steele later presented House Concurrent Memorial Resolution 1001 to honor Bishop Kenneth L. Robinson; Steele said Robinson had statewide ties and multiple memorial services were planned, and the committee approved the concurrent memorial by voice vote.
Other recognitions passed without debate: House Resolution 10‑21 acknowledging May as Skin Cancer Awareness Month (Representative Lee Johnson); House Resolution 10‑22 congratulating the Rolling Razorbacks wheelchair basketball team on a national championship (Representative Tippi McCullough); multiple high‑school athletic recognitions (including Parkview Patriots and Mansfield teams); and a centennial honor for the Junior League of Texarkana (Representative Carol Dolby).
Staff reminded members that many of these noncontroversial presentations are placed on the speaker’s consent calendar under Rule 70 and described options for presenters to appear on the floor and have the presentation livestreamed or later watched in the archives. The committee noted that consent‑calendar presentations are scheduled for Wednesdays at 8:30 a.m.
