Several team members and managers introduced themselves and their roles for the record, and legislators asked youth participants to say their names, grades and positions so the House could formally acknowledge them. Representative Leader Harris congratulated the team and urged them to come forward so the chamber and visitors could recognize their accomplishment.
The presentation emphasized the broader value of unified sports beyond a trophy: coaches said the program builds friendships and creates "a culture and atmosphere that is very much like a family." The House did not take any formal action beyond the floor recognition.
The team departed the floor after remarks and the session moved on to other ceremonial items.
