Pasadena Public Health Department and the Home Instruction for Parents of Preschool Youngsters (HIPPY) program will host a free Brush, Book & Bed family oral-health event Saturday, Feb. 28, from 10 a.m. to noon at Robinson Park Recreation Center on North Fair Oaks Avenue, the Rose City Report broadcast said.
The event will offer oral-health education, resources, prizes, food and free dental screenings provided by a local pediatric dentist. The broadcast said screening appointments are available by registration through the city’s online form, with priority given to children ages 0 to 5; all children under 18 are eligible and no insurance is required. Registration for screening appointments closes Feb. 20, the announcement said.
Aaliyah Howa, of Pasadena Media, presented the items during the program and directed listeners to the city’s online reservation portal for screening sign-ups and more event details. The report did not provide the pediatric dentist’s name, details on how many screening slots are available, or a breakdown of funding and sponsors for the event.
