Council members wished the new business success and asked the applicant to notify the mayor's office when the grand opening date is set; the operator said he expects doors to open by the end of May.
The approval authorizes the city clerk to transmit the council action to the state for final processing, consistent with the municipal licensing procedure. No formal conditions beyond the usual state licensing requirements were recorded at the meeting.
The council acknowledged residents' proximity to the site and urged the new operator to be mindful of neighborhood impacts; there was applause after the vote. The mayor offered to coordinate a ribbon-cutting when the operator confirms the opening date.
