Council described the consent agenda items before voting to approve them as a block. The items listed by the council included: Resolution 247 (NJ Dacres program enabling resolution for Jake's Playground), Resolution 248 (budget transfers), Resolution 249 (authorization to hold an executive session to discuss evacuation and re-entry planning), Resolution 250 (execution of a shared agreement with Ocean County for Schedule C), Resolution 251 (authorization to sell surplus property via an online auction), Resolution 252 (an agreement with Ocean County for animal facility services) and Resolution 254 (an acknowledgment of the promotion of Robin Young to construction official). The council approved the consent agenda by unanimous roll call.
Council also presented a bill list totaling $73,614.70 and voted to approve payment of the listed items.
During public comment, residents praised recent seasonal programming and town improvements. Following public comment, council members said they would move into an executive session of about 45 minutes to discuss evacuation re-entry planning; they stated they did not expect to take formal public action when they return. The public session later reconvened and the council adjourned.
The council did not specify dates for second reading of the salary ordinance during the public session. Follow-up actions identified on the consent agenda—such as execution of county agreements and sale of surplus property—will proceed according to the implementing staff and the signed documents.
