District outlines redistricting plan, bathroom and staffing work for full‑day kindergarten

Dr. Lisa Rabimus, introduced as assistant superintendent for curriculum and instruction, said principals met in July to begin the curriculum and staffing design needed for full‑day kindergarten planned to start in September 2026. She listed next steps as reviewing New Jersey Department of Education kindergarten guidelines, refining schedule impacts on special education and expanding curriculum and staffing plans.
The operations committee forwarded a proposal from LAN Associates for A&E/site work to address bathroom and site questions; the board discussed that item in the operations package and moved it forward for approval. Board members discussed bathroom waivers the state allows when a bathroom is in the immediate vicinity and in sight of a kindergarten classroom and acknowledged work remains to finalize boundaries, staffing and possible facility projects.
