The commission voted by unanimous consent to recommend that the city council approve a memorandum of agreement with Greatland Consulting and Training LLC to provide aircraft rescue and firefighting (ARF) training. Staff described the vendor as a calendar-year contractor that charges a per-student training fee and is in good standing with the city. “He provides the aircraft rescue and firefighting training over there for a lot of the state equipment operators that do ARF on their airports,” staff said, and noted local firefighters also use the facility.
Commissioners had no further discussion and approved the recommendation by unanimous consent. The MOA will be forwarded to the city council for final approval and execution.
