During the meeting the board paused its business to recognize student accomplishments. Vocational agricultural instructors led by Stewart McCulla presented FFA teams and individuals who won awards at the 97th National FFA Convention and California state finals, highlighting championship finishes in cotton judging, top national placings in career‑development events and national delegate selections.
Principal Chan M and instructor Charlie McKisic recognized three graduates of the Los Banos Adult School’s Spanish GED program and described students’ perseverance, course progression and next steps in early‑childhood education and English development. Dr. Mark Marshall read a proclamation certifying that the adult‑education students had met local and state graduation requirements and conferred diplomas.
The board and audience offered applause and congratulations to students, instructors and staff.
