McCall — The City Council voted to approve the final plan for the Idaho & Ward plan unit development (PUD-25-02), a two-building apartment project that will total 126 units, including 31 units designated for local occupancy and income-targeted rent levels under an owner participation agreement.
City planner Meredith Todd explained the final-plan approval primarily memorializes engineering and site design work and noted that the development was modified to two buildings to reduce costs. "The final design would result in two buildings where there would be 31 local housing units distributed across those apartment buildings," Todd said, adding the McCall urban renewal/redevelopment agency is participating to fund infrastructure and affordability measures.
Todd told council remaining milestones include final engineering approval and memorializing the 31 local housing units through deed restriction or an equivalent covenant before building permits are issued. Council members expressed support for the change from three to two buildings as a cost-saving measure and voted in favor of staff recommendations.
The council motion approved the final plan and directed staff to draft a decision document consistent with council deliberations; the vote was unanimous (5–0).
