Seeley Lake updates: neighborhood watch forms and sewer district wins $10 million for project start-up

Tom Browder reported a milestone for Seeley Lake: a community group formed as a 501(c)(3), the Blackfoot Clearwater Neighborhood Watch, has partnered with Missoula Crime Stoppers and led local cleanup efforts. Browder said the group provides a forum for community-led activity that began with council support.
Browder also said the Seeley Lake sewer district received $10 million from Congressman Zinke's office to begin work on a sewer project intended to enable more housing and support employees living locally. "They received $10 million from Congressman Zinke's office to get started on the project," Browder said.
Council members noted regular agenda items continue to include updates from the Forest Service and the sewer district; Browder said the group will keep the council informed and has added the neighborhood-watch group to the monthly agenda.
