Detroit Mercy partnership proposed to bring Vermont its first dental education center and limited academic license

Patrick Elvin, executive director of the Vermont State Dental Society, told the committee the state will soon open its first dental education center after Detroit Mercy leased the former Albany College of Pharmacy site in Colchester and plans to install a 40‑chair teaching clinic. Elvin said the program received a $4.6 million congressionally directed spending award credited in committee testimony to Senators Sanders and Welch and that a press conference announcing the gift is planned.
