Forest Park adopts public right-of-way ADA transition plan after outreach

The Village Council on June 27 adopted the Public Right-of-Way ADA Transition Plan (Resolution R-57-D22) after a seconding motion and voiced approval from all council members.
Commissioner Vog publicly thanked Administrator Amade for proactive outreach and soliciting public comment during the plan's development. The administrator noted the Progress Center provided feedback and that a Zoom meeting had been used to solicit input.
Council members described the plan as a step toward improving pedestrian safety and accessibility in public rights-of-way. The council accepted the plan by voice vote and recorded the resolution number on the meeting record; implementation and engineering follow-up will proceed through the Public Works/Engineering department.
