He described other League activities including coordination with CMAP, IDOT, Metra and Pace, a suburban purchasing cooperative, an investment fund (IMET) for municipal dollars, and municipal outreach events intended to build relationships that support rapid mutual aid after disasters.
O'Hara said municipal dues, a federal grant that supports League transportation staffing, and corporate/supporting members fund the League's operations. He noted a recent change requiring council approval when membership dues exceed $25,000.
