The Allegany County Human Services Committee convened March 19 but the chair announced the committee did not have a quorum and therefore could not approve the agenda or minutes. The chair said staff would record the discussions and return with motions, seconds and approvals when the committee reconvenes Wednesday morning.
At the end of the session Mr. Barnes moved to adjourn and Mrs. Hanchett seconded the motion; the chair called for the vote but the transcript does not record the outcome. Committee members and staff repeatedly noted they would take formal votes at the reconvened meeting to avoid making absent members repeat testimony.
Because no votes were recorded on March 19, all approvals and contract renewals discussed will return to the committee for formal action at the reconvened session.
