The project team emphasized that most early-start work will occur over the summer and that construction traffic will be routed to the west side of the site once a new road is in place, reducing interaction with school traffic. The team asked the committee and district communications staff to “overcommunicate” schedule impacts so residents know when entrances or lots will be temporarily blocked and can plan accordingly.
District and town communications channels will be used for outreach: school messaging to families, town press releases, website updates, and the usual school-level communications (principals, back-to-school nights, coach and AD messages) to explain specifics about athletics and daily schedules.
The committee said more-detailed guidance and timeline updates will be posted on the district website and distributed through school channels before summer work begins.
