The Nevada City Planning Commission approved a sign application for the Earth Store's new location at 48 Broad Street, Suite 8.
Staff described the proposed sign as 48 inches by 27 inches (18 square feet) on MDO wood paneling, using the same green and blue color scheme and copper plate bold font as the store's prior sign. The applicant's representative said the owner Leah has operated the shop for 25 years and staff will transition to the new location in the New York Hotel.
Commissioners asked about the size increase versus the prior sign; the representative showed a photograph and indicated the size change was modest. No members of the public opposed the application. A commissioner moved to approve and the body voted to approve the sign as presented.
