Attorney General's office reports seven judicial-review petitions tied to board decisions

Deputy Attorney General Dana Cook briefed the board on pending litigation. She said seven petitions for judicial review of State Board decisions are currently pending in Nevada district courts.
Cook outlined the schedule: for Carmona and Eagle Shadow, opening briefs are due April 6, 2026; Chadha and Townsite have opening briefs due April 20, 2026 (Chadha has a hearing set for April 28, 2026, and Townsite has a chambers-review hearing set for June 26); the Esmeralda County school-district matter has a record recently filed and no briefing schedule yet; and two Wolfson matters will have records filed by April 9.
Cook said the record for each case is compiled and filed with the court, and that the office is awaiting opening briefs in several matters. Board members asked clarifying questions about hearing dates and schedules.
